1970s SYRIA Boeing 707

Launched in 1970s, the airline acquired 3 used Boeing 737-200Adv and 2 used Boeing 707-320C airliners. For a brief period, Syria launched them with an all-white livery and had a Serif lowercase type "syria" on them. In the sixth month after launch, Syria updated the type face to capital letters and added a "swept" black nose, and featured the new "Speed Carmine" streak on the side, giving the airline its callsign (Carmine), along to Arabic script. The tail was also painted red with the country's coat of arms painted in gold on a white "Slashed Triangle".
