MK AMF POSTER

MK AMF POSTER

After the failed A330 experiment, Makani restored fully inter-island services by late 2017. When COVID-19 hit, the airline saw its passenger service dwindle, but its cargo demand quickly rising. By late 2020, the airline saw an opportunity to attempt an expansion to outside of the Hawaiian islands. They signed a contract with Amerifreight, an American logistics company with a diverse fleet of dedicated freighters and a variety of bases around the US. The contract included branding 2 Amerifreight 767-300Fs with the FlyMakani.com branding and opening an air cargo route between Honolulu and Los Angeles. In return, Amerifreight was given time slots in Honolulu formerly used by Makani's 717 inter-island service, which had been reduced significantly. Amerifreight's Makani-liveried 767s soon became a usual sight at Honolulu, arriving in the early morning, off-loading cargo onto Makani's own 737 freighters, which flew to the other islands. By night time, the 737s return to Honolulu, load their cargo onto the 767s, which takes a late night departure back to the mainland.

Unrealistic for an airline from Hawai‘i to use English names for its aircraft, not Native names. Native names aren't unique to the RL Hawaiian Airlines; Aloha, Mokulele, Mahalo, ‘Ohana, and Makani Kai all did too

    sexy af

    nice , very good livery

you're totally right. my naming is 100% unrealistic. what i did in reality was naming the planes after my close friends irl, and that's the reason for unrealistic naming.

hey some of them live in hawaii tho
