Skywind A340-600

G-SFLN
AIRBUS A340-642
AGE - 14.2 Yrs

Skywind operates a fleet of only 10 A340-600s as well as 8 A340-300s. The A340-600 was chosen along with the B747-400ERs (a livery will be up soon) this was because they wanted an aircraft which can fly roughly the same distance as the B744ERs but on routes which don't have a high demands of passengers. However the A340-300s will be retired this year but their replacement aircrafts haven't been finalised. The retirement of the A346s will commence in Q2 of 2020 and they will be replaced by A350-900s. All of Skywind's A340-600s are configured in a 4 class configuration 12 First Class Seats, 24 Business Class Seats, 42 Premium Economy Seats and 270 Standard Economy Seats. The first A340-600 G-SFLA entered service on the 28th of August 2003 and had its maiden flight to Cape Town the day after.

None of Skywind's A346s has had an accident.

    Not bad :)

    Not bad :)

    Thanks

imho, the bird symbol in front of the flag for both the tail and the logo seems a little busy. I would either remove the flag from the tail or at least some place where it's not directly behind the bird. The other option is to just create more contrast between the bird and the flag, a color that makes it pop in front of both the white part of the flag and the blue part of the flag. Then again, that could mess up the color scheme.

Well you see having the flag removed in my opininon makes the livery plain as the bird by its self has been used on a previous livery which is yet to be posted and that the flag was placed behind the bird because I wanted to show the airline's British-ness. If I was to place the flag or bird elsewhere, where would it go because there won't really be a suitable place where I could still have both symbols together. To answer your second point to about changing the contrast between the tail and the logo will indeed require a change of colours so yeah I don't really know how I could change the livery, but I will take your advice into further consideration.
