Evergreen 767-300ER 2006-Present

Evergreen International is a Canadian full service carrier started by James Harris II and Luke Warner in 1986. Two former Transoceanic pilots who were fired after protesting the airlines rigorous crew screenings calling them discouraging and hurtful to potential flight attendants. After they were fired they took a small loan out and purchased two 737-200 jets form Northern who supported the airlines growth by codesharing with them and later in 1989 leasing three of their older 737-300's to them. The Edmonton based carrier started to grow quickly fending off competition form Canadian Blue a already established carrier in the region. They started their passenger first program letting passengers vote on what they wanted to see form the airline. Destinations, Snacks, Seating and anything else that passengers would select. They soon expanded with eight more 737-300 and one 757-200 that was serving destinations in the United States. In 2000 they signed a agreement with Boeing for ten 737-800 jets that were due to enter service in 2001. The first one arrived September 7th 2001 with its first route completed two days later. Also in 2000 they ordered three 767-300 jets with plans to start flights to holiday destinations in Europe and Mexico. Although in 2001 they were hit hard by the Attacks in the United States. Loosing lots of business on their international routes that they had been receiving a majority of their profit on. They started to reel the flights back and move jets servicing the United States to routes within Canada. They soon after opened a hub in Toronto and pushed through their bankruptcy after receiving the first of their 767 jets. Along with taking two more on that were abandoned by struggling airlines in 2005. Launching their new branding in 2006.
