Aerovias Salvadoreñas, initialized as Avisal, is the flag carrier of El Salvador. The airline serves destinations in the Americas, often utilizing its base, Monseñor Óscar Arnulfo Romero International Airport, as a connection between North and South America as well as the Caribbean. Formed in 1982 as a regional airline providing domestic and regional flights, Avisal eventually grew to fly to everywhere from Toronto to Sao Paulo, Los Angeles to Havana, and Lima to New York.
