meridian has a fleet of five Bombardier Q400s to serve the extreme north of Canada, especially the areas of Northwest Territories, Yukon, and Nunavut. A Boeing 737 would be not be suitable for these northern routes as it doesn't have the enough demand to make this service profitable.
