Hand-drawn Planes

Hey guys,

So I'm aware that recently, some hand drawn photos have started becoming the "thing" in the gallery, whether good or not. But it led me to go find a drawing of a jet I made back when I was 15. I had hand drawn a Learjet 45 and at the time, I was quite surprised as to how well it came out, despite the fact I don't really see myself as an artist.

In any case, I'm just curious if anyone else has attempted something like this as well. Or, if anyone's up for a little challenge, to try and draw an aircraft of their choice. Interested to see the variety.

I once drew a LOT Embraer 145 free hand using only a reference picture, and it was my best drawing yet. It was pretty detailed.

I drew an A310 from a Jane's Airlines and Airliners page when I was around fourteen. My best ever drawing , since all that I could ever draw are technical, simple stuff. The lines of the A310 are pretty simple. I think I still have the sketch somewhere...

Vision, I must say that your Learjet is quite well drawn, but the only part that looks really good is the nose. Your windows look a bit out of shape, and your wings are drawn in such a way that the aircraft seems to be leaning toward the viewer .  But if you completely drew it by hand, I must say that it is quite good. I, however like to use rulers to help me draw straight.

I completely and utterly suck at drawing. I tried drawing an SW 737 and it was incredibly average.

No worries, I have no plans of putting livery making on the shelf anytime soon . I just figured I'd make this post since apparently I can draw airplanes quite well.

Also I've drawn a lot of planes when I was young. The early ones were terrible but now I think I'm pretty good I'll post images later.

Did you read my post on that "Please, Stop" thread? You clearly never learnt. 

Anyways, back on topic, Vision, you inspired me to start drawing my own planes. Let's see how it goes.
