Have you counted how many (wasted) hours it took you given you degree of proficiency with the game?

This is my 3rd game on AE and... currently as it is in R5, having you 66% more of planes scheduled, 72% more passenger carried for only having 20% higher valuation than The Flying Cow... that can only be considered as an achievement of having an excess of free time but not mastery of the game. Are you sure that's something to be proud of?...

I'm sure you can do better, but it's already good that you are trying that hard, keep it up or it would be too boring again

Don't go bankrupt, you can always reorganize routes - otherwise our Top 1 friend from R5 with excess of free time will devote even more of his free time on this

You have decent fleet - no pocket planes, so it´s fixable

That's correct, it was The Flying Cow - checking the "trophy" realized that my first game was not on R1 but on S3A Now, having everything on track in R1, moved to R5 as basically in R1 there's nothing left to be done

When one doesn't click like a bot there's plenty of time to do other stuff, like, indeed, participating in forums and "battling" bots that are after the "top clicker" award

That´s why flying anything below 100 seats is not optimal - our current top 1 has a nice pocket-planes fleet that in some years will bring so much fun as maintenance cost increase...

I don't worry about maintenance costs, maybe I don't get the mechanics of R1 (too long for my taste), but in 30 year worlds I never felt any problems with that.

I always get a nice fleet of profitable 50-100 seat planes, and I even started liking some smaller like Do328 and some others. And things like ATR-72 sure are profitable, trust me. At the internal market where I don't have to care for gate numbers because terminals are so cheap (except for 1-3 airports where I might get to occupying 200 gates), using small planes is sweet and simple. Why would I avoid them when I need more planes and can't get enough of bigger ones, and 2 of them make the same money as 1 big? And even if I have enough of big planes, I get used to the small-route 1 small plane scheme, it makes things more simple than 1 big divided to 2 routes. And you also get the big frequency rep plus, usually not very important but I just like it.

@TNT I don't know about page loading for too long when you have more planes, I felt that only when I got to over 10,000, otherwise I had problems when everybody else had problems because of server maintenance and whatnot.

And all of you trophied guys and those on the way to have a bunch, cut the crap and stop the pissing contest, what are you trying to do?

Don't turn against each other when there are always a few noobs who don't get the game and get pissed off for not being able to handle things and getting annoyed instead of trying to ask and learn, and even worse, those seasoned anti-spamming lobbyists who are still a mystery to me, but they just don't quit and always have something to nag about. Show those guys your trophies and not others who have them.

Page loading definitely affected me regarding the plane number. My biggest airline have speed problems in the past. Instead of keeping reloading, they just freeze.

... said the guy a week ago, and now, after loosing the 1st spot in R5, quitting and running away... coincidence?

Are there bots on this game? What!? I though I was playing with real people!

Oh did that guy quit? Is that why there are so many planes on the used market? Let some 757 be left for me man

In theory it is supposed that there are no bots, but sometimes it is hard to know for sure

funny to read all this posts ending in a massive discussion..

our main problem is that current worlds don't divide "hard core success players" and "simulator players"
I'm still working on my imagination of AE4 (currently have 8 DIN A4 pages ready to drop) and this thread really helped me see a major problem.
