Because they don't go there immediately by game rules. If they people with two airlines would be selling aircraft and then buying them up with the other airline.
I want to buy them with the other airline. There ain't any available. And why cant I sell myself 40 year old turboprops??
Game Rules
- ...
- Multiple airlines owned by the same player in a world cannot be used to give an unfair advantage to each other (selling aircraft to each other to get around delivery slot limits, flooding routes together to gain market share, etc).
And I am complying with both those rules. AND ACCORDING TO THOSE RULES SELLING AIRPLANES TO ONE SELF ISNT BANNED. BECAUSE IM NOT CREATING AN UNFAIR ADVANTAGE. There are no CVs, Brottania's airplanes available and I have them sitting unused. Since the rule is not all inclusive. The rule requires somebody to monitor players to separate those who aren't creating an unfair advantage from those who are. I suggest I be allowed to buy my own planes. As the rules clearly allow it.
There is nothing to stop you from buying the planes from the used market when they appear. All that is being done is that their appearance in the used plane market has a slightly randomised delay to give other airlines a fairer chance to buy them.

Just ... Why would you want to buy the aircraft you already own?
Just ... Why would you want to buy the aircraft you already own?
maybe.. just maybe.. to avoid paying the huge maintenance fee for very very old plane, perhaps a collectible types like Concorde, 747s, or 757.
The random delay was put in place to obstruct feeder systems players once set up to use multiple airlines to get around the delivery slot limits. This did not occur only between one's own airlines either.
We don't allow transferring assets (including cash) between airlines because players will use that to gain a competitive advantage (start two or more airlines, then funnel aircraft and cash to their main airline). Then to get a shot at the leaderboard, everyone would be forced to start multiple airlines and use the same technique to stay competitive. It has been shown time and again that anything that can be used to gain an unfair advantage will be heavily exploited.
That said, the rule does not explicitly forbid buying a used aircraft previously owned by another airline you own. However, the random delay is here to stay.
Of course its obstructiong everybody. Who isn't gaining an unfair advantage. So it obviously doesn't work. like everything else socialist. Block those who create the unfair advantage,. not everybody., Oh wait , you might lose members. So lets hose everyone and lose nobody. Everybody isn't using it to gain an unfair advantage. Another lie. I got three 40 year old airplanes. on VernAir 2 And none of your reasons offer any excuse I cant buy a plane from my other airline that has 120 sitting idle. Especially since they are out of production aircraft. Because you extended the game. After I stopped taking deliveries.
Because the game was thirty years.
And don't say I can buy them. If nobody knows when they will be for sale.
Second we wouldnt be having this discussion if you hadn't turned a 30 year game into a 70 year game. After the production lines were closed for all the old turboprops. I was buying.
Third. I would say extending the game after some airlines stop delivery. And after the production lines close. Is giving an unfair advantage to players who decided to extend the game. Without giving anyone warning. production was closed.
Fourth. I'm getting about , well, about sick of this site anyways.
