Right now there is already an option to lease mass new aircraft and an option to buy mass both new and used aircraft but currently no way to lease mass used aircraft off the used aircraft market. I brought this up in chat and someone said then larger airlines would just lease all the aircraft and not give younger airlines a chance. but why not reduce the limit of leases from the ridiculous 10 k. for a younger airline lease used aircraft is the easiest and cheapest but to get a decent fleet it takes FOREVER as you have to click on each aircraft individually. also when they are leased there should be a way to convert them all over to a current seating configuration you have. there is a batch configuration for seating but only for converting a default or a config you already have to something you have created there is no way to convert batch configurations for used aircraft with mixed configs to one that you own without going into each aircraft individually.

Just a thought... would be nice..

Well :P for your first point they won't be there if you have the mass lease button so you would just have to live with it :P & for the second, mdeault means any config that isn't yours so therefore you can convert them all at once :)

I still think it would be a good idea perhaps if it could be regulated maybe to 10 aircraft a day in mass leasing or have a cap of leasing used aircraft that's different then leasing new aircraft.

I don't think it is a good idea because you are leasing aircraft of different ages and types at different prices from different people.

But what would you do with aircraft from bankrupt airlines, who "sell" the most aircraft; especially in the first years.

But if I opened a new airline with the same name, I couldn't. E. g. someone opens up British Airways, then bankrupts after one year and some aircraft. I wouldn't be able to open a 'new' BA due to the name already being used, even though it is not. If one already began with the starting aircraft, I'd be able to block lots of names.

Add a space bar in afterwards.

Retain their names in the database until all of their aircraft were gone.

Personally, I really dislike how if an airline bankrupts, it's initial owner is forgotten. If it isn't taxing on server load, I'd separately ask for their names to be kept until there were no traces of them left, unless they were specifically removed for having an offensive name.

i think the way they store the name of the aircraft owner in database should be modified slightly.

instead of storing the AIRLINE_ID they should instead store AIRLINE_NAME in AIRCRAFT table, the AIRLINE_NAME get change everytime the ownership change.

Why would you need the name lock anyway?
