Growing up in Sacramento, California, in the 1970s-1980s, I lived near several active air force bases: McClellan (now closed), Mather (now closed), Beale, and Travis.
Among the great planes I saw on a fairly regular basis in the skies near my home were the following:
I din't seen many planes... The most sadly plane I saw in my life is the 737-200 PP-SMA , the first 737 of Brazil that flown in VASP from 1969 to 2004, when the DAC (Civil Aviation Department, the old Brasilian aviation department {now is ANAC]) phibited the "SMA" of fly, due to the horrible conservation. VASP bankrupts in 2005 . Since 2004, PP-SMA is abandoned at my city airport, Tancredo Neves Int'l (SBCF/CNF). See the SMA before and after:

Very, very little. My closest large airport is 110 miles (180km) away. (Ryanair, Aer Lingus, Aer Arann, various North American and Arabian airlines) As a result:
A300-600F, A319-100, A320-200, A321-200, A330-200, A330-300, A340-300, A340-600, A380-800, 717-200, 737-400, 737-700, 737-800, 747-400, 747-400F, 747-8F, 767-300ER, 767-300F, 777-200, 777-200ER, 777-300, 777-300ER, Various E-Jets, Q300, Q400, ATR-72-500 and yeah i think that's it, excluding private jets as i'm not very familiar with them. Most if not all of these aircraft were spotted at either Sydney or Hong Kong as these are the 2 primary airports i fly out of.
