On an off topic side note ( ), if you haven't heard already, Virgin Australia have purchased a 60% stake in Tiger Airways, and are completely taking over Perth based carrier Skywest (whom Virgin already have a relationship with).

Odd, i thought most of the 'western' world did it.
Funny you say that because my brother is only 25 and when he was a kid no one in Australia got around trick or treating, so it's not something that has been happening for a long time now.

"Why should we be embracing this piece of culture?"
Odd, i thought most of the 'western' world did it. 'Tis a laugh, as all. Although, I've generally been of the "Stay at home and do nothing" type of Halloween person.
I am one of the agressive types

no one went trick or treating on my street for the first time in my life
Interesting, just about everyone in my street did, but then again there are a lot of kids in my street. But from that another question arises, why are aussie kids being brainwashed by american culture. Yes I know halloween actually originated in Ireland to anyone who wants to be smart and correct me . But their version of halloween was to do with religion, but the yanks changed that.

Without Americans' self centered attitude their culture wouldn't have been brainwashing people. lol

Maybe they are sick of eating the National dish of Australia. Vegymite and toast. And Self centered is thinking you still have a national culture. It went in the burner with all those guns....
1. You spelt VEGEMITE wrong.
2. I and many other Australians don't eat Vegemite on toast very often or EVER.
Yay, 400th post
