But I also have FS 2004!
I want to know all your opinions on what you like most.
Firstly I prefer X-plane 10 here is why.
1) Microsoft ruined it after Microsoft Flight. And FSX isn't really getting updated much more.
2) X-Plane 10 has better graphics.
3) X-Plane 10 has more realism.
4) Has Aircraft carrier and frigate landings already installed, along with an F-4 Phantom you can do carrier landings with.
Negs about X-Plane 10
I have to download freeware airport scenery. (Correct me if I'm wrong)
Less help to newbie flyers.
60GB install you have to do (Primarly scenery but you can pick which areas you want). Most likely not a problem though.
OK then, Rate in the poll, then if you want. Make a post on this topic why you pick one.

Though in my experience with both sims, I find that X-Plane has noticeably better flight dynamics. It's much better at simulating things like propeller torque, the downward-prop effect, jetwash, and weather than FSX... FSX has a sort of 'flying on rails' feel to it.
Also, flying at night in X-Plane 10 is simply jaw dropping, no other words for it
I have some X-Plane payware, and I think it's easily up to the standards of the best FSX payware.. Obviously somewhat less choice though (that will change soon)

You also have to remember FSX is way older. I go with FSX as I downloaded it for free. But if they were the same price it would be X-Plane 10
WHAT? I remembered last time I saw FSX it costed $25 Never seen it free before...

Hmm, FSX is better actually because it haves more addons (PMDG & Wilco, ), but in a near future, mac users will have a very very good simulator too
