Can't put newly bought plane on routes.

I bought a used McDonnell Douglas MD-83. I go and try to put it on a route so I lease a gate and click add flights. But my new MD-83 doesn't show up when I click show aircraft with 1 HOUR! available. This plane should have 140 hours available. What's happening?
