The airbus website states that the A380-800 can travel 15200km (8200nm), while in AE it can only travel up to 7800nm.

AE use statued miles to measure distance and by converting the 9200miles to Nautical Miles we get 8000Nautical miles, although it may be a bit low the difference is not that large and will be dealt with later.
i also belive you did not look at the max range but the max payload range at AE

I understand the max range, but the new update makes max payload range on the 747-400 is 8,200nmi, which is its overall maximum range according to google
