Jets get less money than props? R1

So... I just got a Comet 4C and replaced a few routes which used to be used by my DC7. Then I noticed something. Even though the Comet 4C has 119 seats compared to 100 seat DC7, the twice daily Urumqi-Hohhot flight get knocked down. From DC7 99somethingk to 66somethingk. Help?

You noticed the fuel consumption of the Comet? It's pretty high, these early jets were profitable only in long range routes.

Props are generally more fuel-efficient than jets of similar size (but lose in speed and range), so this is not a bug.
