bug in demand that leads to lower daily operating profit

on one of my routes i raised my fares $10 dollars in an attempt to make more money on a route witch i had no competition on. but it didn't succeed and my profit and load factors for that route went down, so i lowered  my fares down back to when i was making more money and had higher load factors so in theory i should have similar if not the same load factors and profit right but instead my profit and load factors didn't change when i lowered my fares. so then i tried to backspace but it skipped the part when i had higher profit so now i cant go back to making more money like i used to. THIS MAKES NO SENSE CAN SOMEONE PLEASE FIX THIS OR AT LEAST EXPLAIN THIS!?
