Posted by air greg on 03 April 2012 - 09:07 AM

hi,
i know it has been brought up multiple times,
but i paid double in august 1997 for my employee costs.
can anyone do anything to it cause it's driving me bancrupt...
grtz

Yes this just happened to my airline also in R5 WHICH LEFT ME WITH HARDLY ANY PROFIT for THE MONTH that just ended.

I should say the month about to end, not ending

Hmmmm. :disgusted: I just had a $75million loss when I should have made around a $30million profit for August.

Just noticed my payroll costs had doubled - thought i was going crazy at first!!!!

This has happened to me as well, August 1995 cost almost exactly double the months before and after :/

It has to be Viking Luft........his debt just went from 100 bill to over 200 bil from Sept to Oct. They have to speed up the death of these airlines.

And the industry average needs to be a actual average. That way 1 airline cannot effect everyone.

Viking Luft is now shedding planes into the used plane market because the repo man is coming around to collect.

Which leads me to this question:

IF he has inflated his payroll to ridiculous amounts, and
IFhe does not have enough money to make his lease payments,
then how does he realistically have enough money to continue paying an inflated payroll?
His valuation is $-362,895,937,97.

HIs payroll checks should be bouncing.
Meaning his employees are not going to be happy; not going to stick around, and are going to start leaving.
This should negate/minimize the inflated "Industry Avg" that his actions have set.

Couldn't/shouldn't there be some sort of programming check be implemented to unravel payroll levels that cannot be met?

Edit:

His valuation was $-362,895,937,9

77.

(That's BILLION....sorry that I dropped a digit earlier

The offending payroll has been removed. A permanent solution is coming soon.

Thank you very much.

Thank you for looking into this. It should make the game more realistic and playable.

The double payroll occurred again in R5 for the month of May 1998.

Any info regarding this?

And in June 1998 too

Yeah---mine was doubled as well for June.

Are we going to get the money lost refunded? I've already lost b/w $300-400 million

Who cares if it's refunded? :|
In the general scheme of AE, 300-400 million is zero. Nothing.

Guess you're still trying to get a 1000 word paper done at school.

Do you need to make personal attacks in this thread?
