When I try to open a new route, the game does not load. Even when I use Chrome, the same thing happens. Any reason as to why? Is the server down?

Since I'm (relatively) new and I'm currently playing an open world operating two airlines there, I was curious, are open worlds harder than realistic ones?
On one hand, you can open routes anywhere, which gives you a lot more options.
On the other hand, everyone can do that as well, which significantly increases competition.
Thoughts?

Almost any second airport in a city, Hurghada, Marseille, Belgrade, Hanover, Vnukovo, Lanzhou, Taiyuan, Nice, and other medium-sized airports outside of the USA.
