Present Day(ish) - KLair A320s

Present Day(ish) - KLair A320s

KLair was a premium low-cost carrier based in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL). Founded in 2010 with a pair of wet-leased A320s acquired from a struggling Filipino carrier, the airline grew to a fleet of 20 A320-200 jets. The airline placed an order for ten A320neos and ten A321neos, intending to start longer services to challenge the existing legacy airlines on the market.
KLair was bought out by Air Malaysia in 2019 and full integration into the fleet began. Only one A321neo was painted into a half-KLair livery before being repainted and transferred to Air Malaysia. Likewise, all other ex-KLair A320 series aircraft have been integrated into the fleet to complement the existing Boeing 737 short-haul aircraft.
