Poletavia
Throughout the 1970s, Poletavia would continue its efforts to attract western tourism and connecting travelers. By bolstering it's schedule from Moscow Sheremetyevo (and, by the 1970s, Leningrad) with international destinations, Poletavia would hope the appeal to western travelers by showcasing the east of connections across the USSR. This map would display the many different number of stops and flights that could be utilized to reach the other end of the globe in hopes to showcase the ease of travel through the USSR. However, the idea of this was already plagued with other unforeseen (though not underestimated) problems that would make this not very viable to the average western passenger or tourist, even after the introduction of supersonic travel with the Tupolev TU-144 in 1975.
This is great!
