South African used the VC10 fleet primarily from it's Johannesburg hub, citing hot and high conditions nearly all the time. These aircraft served European routes, and then inter-African routes as they were replaced by more modern types.
The last VC10 flew for SA in 1982.
This one here is seen in the 1978 update to the 1972 livery.
POTKC template, with mods by me. Thanks to AJB for some detail help. I'm trying to get this VC10 template to a bit more complete standard.

The only thing basically the same on those two aircraft is the engine placement. The rest is a completely different aircraft. Its just because Khrushchev really liked the Caravelle that he wanted a tail engine design.
