True. It does have the emergency exit. Duh... Must have been a momentary lapsus on my part... or onset Altzheimers, or something... lol. I really should know better. Been in those Air France ones often enough, and I usually sit at the emergency exit whenever I can because of the extra legroom. I therefore retract everything I said ealier and now state the exact opposite with enthousiasm and obvious conviction! ;)

#202669 daannaad's Logos

zhong1 guo2 guo2 ji4 seems like too stilted to be used... just my humble opinion. The repeated guo2 doesn't sound right, nor does the character next to itself look right. But hey, glad to see that someone else is using Chinese characters in their logos. I thought I was the only one.

The "A318" has an emergency exit where none is supposed to be.

#202491 IFS cost is messed up

I don't know what airlines you fly with KJS607, but there are still plenty around who won't dupe you into buying a "cheap" ticket and then charge you for every little thing that should be included in the ticket price anyway. I fly with these kinds of airlines once and never again, if I can help it. Or not at all, if I know the airlines' reputation, like Ryanair's. I remember one flight a couple of years back, on Spirit Air out of Detroit I think, to Newark. They charged for the use of the overhead bins - which resulted in about 95% of them being empty! Instead people crammed their carry-ons underneath their front seat, reducing the already cramped space so people couldn't move at all for the entire flight. There were a lot of unhappy people comming off that flight, believe me, and not a whole lot of repeat customers, I'd guess. A recent report on German tv revealed that Ryanair, with all its ridiculous extra charges, like having to pay extra if you don't bring along a printed copy of your ticket, can quickly become more expensive than a premium carrier like Lufthansa. That should easily convince anyone not to fly with an airline like that. Unfortunately there are plenty who just don't know or care. The only satisfaction a customer has with this kind of airline, is that they'll hopefully be bancrupt soon.

Worse yet though, in my opinion, are airlines like Iberia or SAS, who charge full prices for their tickets, but then, at least in eco, make you pay again, even for a simple soft drink. That's just trickery, insulting to frequent travellers and plain highway robbery in my eyes. They'll have all kinds of reasons why this would be justified. Reasons that apply just as much to C and F classes. But for some strange, strange reason, I've never been asked to pay for anything in business or first (and yes, I have flown in both classes plenty of times, short and longhaul) Worst of all, you can't always work around those big airlines like you can with the little rip-off ones. Unless you don't mind an extra stopover, that is. And then you'll often have several alternatives, possibly at a cheaper price (also a way to get for little or no cost to places you wouldn't ordinarily go to, and do some extra sightseeing, instead of sticking around at the airport). Fact is, even the flight attendants cringe sometimes when they meet a premium customer and have to tell him to get out some cash for something that should plainy be included in the price of the ticket.

As far as AE goes, I don't want my little virtual passengers to be subjected to that same indignity, so I never charge for anything except the original ticket. Nothing is free on my flights. Naturally. It's a business and we all want to earn money. That's the same for everyone and everywhere. But there's no need to cheat. No need to pretend the ticket is cheaper than it actually is. If you can't cover your costs, don't fly the route. Everything is included when a pax flies with any of my airlines. My little electronic passengers know exactly how much the flight is going to cost at the time of booking. No extra charges. Period.

I imagine the chefs of these penny pinching, hellish airlines will one day die, and when they get to meet the devil, he'll charge them extra to be roasted on a spit, instead of just being thrown into the fire... or something... lol.

God, I'm just in awe of so much concentrated intelligence. Since my spelling as a foreigner obviously doesn't come up to your elevated standards, and since what I have to say doesn't make sense to you super smart people anyway, I'll just quit posting to this forum completely. Thanks for making me feel so welcome.

If you don't know what to say, you probably shouldn't say anything. As it is, you made it plain that you think I'm pretty dumb. Maybe you should try to understand what is being said the next time - before you answer. And since my comments aren't appreciated, I'll just shut up myself now.

I've played this game on and off for quite a few years now, but never noticed a "feature" it has. When you pre-order aircraft and then order aircraft that are normally in production and available within just a few weeks, they get tacked on only after the preordered aircraft. In other words, aircraft currently in production may suddenly not be available for years and years, if you have that kind of backlog on preordered aircraft.

That's completely ridiculous! Not only doesn't it make any sense at all, but I can't believe that after all these years it hasn't long been fixed. Sorry, this just boggled my mind. If it's already been discussed 1000 times and there's a good reason not to fix it, my apologies for wasting your time. But I just blocked off not just one, but two major manufacurers (Boeing and Airbus), and it really puts a crimp in my style.
