Shown above is VH-BJA, Nullarbor's first Lockheed L-1049 Super Constellation, an L-1049G, in the 1947-1959 livery introduced on the L-749 seven years prior. The Constellation cemented Nullarbor's place as a world airline, further helping to reduce the time required to travel to and from Australia. The L-1049s would be the flagship of the Nullarbor fleet until the introduction of the jet-powered Boeing 707 in 1959.
