Aircraft Entry into service dates

Posted by muttley44 on 03 December 2011 - 06:53 PM

I have noticed a few date of entry into service appear incorrect.

Boeing 737-300 first entered service with Southwest Airlines On 12/7/84. Boeing wbesite
Viscount 802 first production aircraft flew 27/7/56
Viscount 810 First Production Aircraft Flew 23/12/57
Dassault Mecure first production aircraft delievered March 1974.
Boeing 707 320B First Flight 31/1/1962
Boeing 707-320C First Flight 19/2/1963
Note the Boeing B707-320 first flew on 11/1/1959, however, this had a different engine type, Turbojets as opposed to the more fuel efficient turbofans of the latter sub types. I think some were re-engined, to the improved standard.
Douglas DC-8.61 entered airline service on 25/2/1967.
Note of the Super Sixty series the 61 and 63 carried a maximum of 259 pax, whilst the 62 had a shorter body and only carried 189, hence the greater range of about 6,000 miles.
CL-44 two versions
CL-44D 178 pax entered service May 61,
CL-44J 214 pax first flight 8/11/65. Only about 5 made.

Most probably miss posted and had before, but on my wish list
Early variant F.28-1000 first delivery 24/2/1969.
Bristol 170.
Airspeed Ambassador.
Can provide some info, but doubt I could easily find fuel flow, and possible runway take off length, but you never know.

All information various Observer Books of Aircraft, Janes and Putnams, could back up with production lists.

Apologies if had the information before, and well done on a great sim.

Chris

I'll look at this shortly.

Thanks
