Every month has got 24 days. What kind of calendar is that? ;)

Hi!
I have recently started an airline in R6 game world. Yesterday I noticed that the month ended too early: right after the 24th day. Today in the morning I also experienced the sudden end of the month (you know, I hoped my airline will earn some more money on 25th-31th before the monthly costs are to be paid - no chance).
Now, when I'm writing this, it's August 1, 2000 in the game time, but "yesterday" was July 24th. Why is that?

It's a carryover from previous versions of AE where all aircraft were delivered on the 1st of the month and the time ran at 1 month / day. This kept the deliveries at the same time every day to make it easier for players to keep track of.
The next major release (AE 4.0) will have a real calendar system.
