More Stewards than Pilots

Posted by rgss on 14 February 2011 - 01:55 AM

Just started a new regional airline, and I see its pretty difficult to get along :ermm:

I have some 35 DHC-7, and to operate them, I have some 700 pilots assigned (they probably just fly every five or six days... ) and only 60 cabin crew (these must be going mad :whistling:) ..., on the other side it seems that I have some 20 (!) mechanics for each of my aircraft..., also 700 in total..
Just slashed reserves of staff to 0%, pay below industry average, as well as zero advertising and no IFS.., hoping i´ll get around..., but i seem to be bound for bankrupcy...

The first airline I started works pretty fine, and the balance of staff is completely different. 250 aircraft, 3600 pilots, 3000 cabin crew (those may be not enough), and 2500 mechanics, but with this new airline its somehow a bit confusing..

Hope at least those mechanics will keep my turboprops nice and shiny, cos they seem to have plenty of time to repair them ..., and also hoping my pilots won´t loose their licenses due to inactivity...:afro:

What can be the reason for this differences? bug, or something else?

Cheers and thanks in advance,

rgss

Updating status to: Not a Bug
Updating version to: None

The staff numbers will be adjusted eventually (sometime during the beta).

Ok, thank you.

The work that you and the AE team have been performing during the last weeks somehow reminded me of this, just awesome.

"You guys should come up here one day"

Cheers, and thanks to the whole AE team,

rgss
