EMB 190 LR - London City Airport LCY

Posted by craigdwatson on 27 July 2016 - 10:33 PM

Hey,

Just a minor one, the EMB 190 LR is not available for operating LCY in AE, however this aircraft does in fact operate to this aerodrome in the real world, for example Alitalia operate the E190LR occasionally. I'm an airfield operations officer at the airport, this aircraft definitely has authorization to operate here. Maybe we could look at which aircraft can and can't operate here due to the steep approach and other restrictions in place (only 2 engine aircraft and 2+ flightdeck are authorized)....

Thanks

Just checking but are you 100% certain it's the LR version and not the standard version? As they do have different runway requirements. Additionally the current version of AE is limited in that it assumes all aircraft are at MTOW and need the full run of the required runway length whereas in real life this isn't always the case (for example 747-400s/MD-11s use SXM in real life but can't in AE). Those restrictions would likely be difficult to implement, not to mention problematic in terms of the previous changes in authorised aircraft so I wouldn't expect to see them any time soon (maybe in AE4 but I wouldn't hold your breath to be honest)

The 190LR can comfortably operate LCY fully loaded, but it is a valid point you make.

Only the 190 can land at LCY in AE due to current coding.

i also looked into your claim AlItalia use the 190LR, according to several registers they only have the STD Version ;)
