OVERCHARGED for new aircraft!

Posted by Lucy on 06 October 2010 - 12:12 AM

In AE6 I keep getting overcharged for new aircraft.

757-200 is about $78M. Usually you pay 50% upfront and 50% on delivery (minus a bit if you buy in bulk).

I ordered 70 and was charged for 50% of the value (about $39M minus a bit each). When I look in pending deliveries though it says there's $120M due on delivery for each (making a total cost of about $159M).

Since I bought 70 and am paying about $81M too much on each this has cost me about $5.6 BILLION in value!!! :(

Similar has happened with 767-300ER, which says $91M due upon delivery - way over 50% of the value :( I checked this when one was delivered to see what it actually charges me and it did charge me $91M (taking into account the amount of money I earn from routes each day). Overall I calculate a loss of close to $10 BILLION in value fleet-wide for being overcharged.

Was the quoted price correct? Did it display the lower price and then charge you more after submitting the order?

Yes, when I click "Negotiate" it comes up with a reduced price for each aircraft (due to buying in bulk). The total payment adds up ok and when I click "order" it takes out 50% of the money quoted. The problem is then when I come to pay the remaining 50% upon delivery, which appears to increase the more aircraft I order. The latest 767-300ER order for 50 a/c results in a payment of $149M upon delivery (on top of the amount paid upon order). The a/c are only worth $123M......

Sorry it's taken so long to get to this...

Are the prices listed on the "View Pending Deliveries" page the actual (erroneous) amount charged or the correct figure?

And for troubleshooting purposes, do those aircraft have IFE or winglets selected?
