Rename: TPE and TSA

Posted by FORMOSA on 21 January 2013 - 04:29 AM

Please rename TPE as "Taipei - Taoyuan" and TSA as "Taipei - Songshan"
Because both TPE and TSA serve people in Taipei
TPE is the international airport, and TSA mainly for domestic flight. (Just like KIX and ITM in Osaka)
I would like to appreciate for your kindly help.

[Ref] http://en.wikipedia....Taipei#Airports

"Taipei Songshan Airport" on the airports' own home page:
http://www.tsa.gov.tw/

Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport on the airports' own home page
http://www.taoyuan-airport.com/

So aside from removing the hyphen from TSA, the current values look ok to me

I guess it should not be Taipei - Taoyuan. It should remain as Taiwan Taoyuan International as technically the airport is located in Taoyuan County, under the jurisdiction of central government and it serves the whole of Taiwan. Also, by the end of the year, Taoyuan County would be upgraded to the status of special municipality city becoming Taoyuan City, so that does not justify changing Taiwan Taoyuan to Taipei-Taoyuan.

NRT (Tokyo Narita) is located in Chiba Prefecture, not Tokyo Metropolis (or City).
But NRT serves people in Metro Tokyo.

I changed TSA from ''Taipei - Songshan'' to ''Taipei Songshan'', TPE will retain it's current name.
