- Nobody is willing to pay for a livery/logo that is not a great deal better than what other designers are offering for free.
- You are massively overstating your abilities
- You are running an illegal business
- There is not the customer base in place for a paid livery/logo
- Many people are strongly against the idea
How many people would be willing to pay for a livery or logo?

In all fairness Maestro, as always, I don't take your comments seriously. Most here know of the bad blood between us two, and frankly, your comments concerning the quality of my work reflect that. If anything I expect you to react in a negative manner to anything I undertake on these forums, seems to be the norm to be quite honest.
If you don't want to pay for my services, don't. You can state the reasons for your opinion, I can't argue with that. But don't try to create the perception that I'm cheating you all. Like I've said, I offer the best quality products at AE, a level of quality that is indeed comparable to that of professional agencies. If you disagree with that, fair enough, but 'That do me, means nothing. If i wanted someone to self-praise themselves, i know where to go and see them'... I don't know where you get that from mate. If you want to let people know that you don't rate the quality of my work, how about actually trailing my services before commenting, afterall, are you even familiar with my work? I'll make you an offer infact - to take an additional slot on my free 're-brand' programme. Of course, I'm sure you'll want to keep your existing logo, it is widely recognised. If this is what it takes to prove to someone who is perceived to be as influential at AE as you, that my claims are indeed true, I think I really have to do something...
SB, i stated my opinion the way i do. People may like it or hate it, but it states my opinion in a clear concise way.
Now, i have seen your work you have done for others. But i do not see how you can say that your level of quality is comparable to that of professional agencies. Even i, with my own logo i designed and made, do not go around saying im the best or comparable to you or bolli. I keep that stuff to myself because quiet frankly, i will look like the biggest dick around (not saying you are, but self praising one self, makes anyone look like a dick). I mean, yes it is good, but to deem it professional? big call.
And lastly, this bad blood you keep talking about. You hardly talk to me on chat directly nor msg me yet about your so claim bad blood. You claim i am always on your case, but could care less to chat to me about it. I dont know, seems you want to keep going down the same path.. guess i will leave you to it while i enjoy my time on AE and take no care about your lack luster comments about me.

I must admit Maestro I often disagree with you but I support you 110% here

To be fair, SB was just asking for opinions. Either you agree or disagree. Then we have a bunch of people like Maestro who comes and complains about SB's work.
i never complained about his work. i just stated my opinion, as this thread asked, for people's opinion.

(note to livery makers, this is what happens when you charge for a livery on a free game!

Seeing as it's not a company and is a sole proprietary, which requires me to pay income tax. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't believe the profits I'm making from DesignX are significant enough to be taxed. That said, at my age, according to the Citizens Advice Bureau, I'm not required to pay any income tax.
Best of luck and all, but I would be very surprised if you could make enough money through livery sales to push yourself to the £7.5k at which you start paying tax. If you do, I'm resigning work and practising with Photoshop!
And for the record, there is no minimum age for paying income tax - I learnt that the hard way as a younger man, so you might want to report your CAB for giving out false info!

Maestro responded to the repeated comment throughout this discussion that SB considers his work to be of a professional standard. Like Maestro, I disagree with that individual claim - No offence is meant, (SB, your liveries are good and you clearly spend a lot of time on them) but my view is that they are not of a professional standard. There is no disrespect there as professional design agencies usually have design teams with top end software, 10-100 members of staff and a six figure budget.
Now guys, I have an even better idea! How about we stop arguing and shut and lock this darn forum and get on with normal AE discussions and act like this never happened.

I'm with SB on this one - There is no problem with reasoned discussion, which I have seen in the arguments put forward in this thread. Opinions were asked for, opinions were given. If you don't wish to be involved, there is no obligation to join in.
