Hi guys,

Was wondering if it's possible to shade aircraft in MS Paint.

Could someone tell me how they do it?

In Paint

You will have to use GIMP of Photoshop for this.

Let's go for GIMP, it's free.

Can someone post a link to a tutorial or something like that?

I'll tell you how I do it....

Select the fuzziest of brushes, set the opacity to about 10%, and just draw over it :P There really is nothing all that complex to it, or at least that's the case with my method.

I always like to use the burn tool in photoshop, it also works well for weathering

To shade, use the gradient tool. Use 10-40% opacity(depending on the colours you use). Use the main colour of the aircraft and a darker shade of that colour or black(simpler :P ) Use free select to select areas you want to shade, and click and drag.
