Lost 4 bilion dollar in a week !!!!

Can some one explain me wy I lost so much money??

In my airline finance I can see that I`ve made a profit
of 1 bilion a month and this year I have a total of only
650 milion dollar.

Please help me with this.

Have you ever checked your leases, maintenance costs, the pay of your staff, etc? :mellow:

Yes I did.

It is weird that maintenance can cost so much. Almost 50% of my profit. :furious:

Fees, maintenance and various other things all cost money, considerably more than they did in 3.0. This would usually be good, but this time, it's just too much. :/

Maintainance fees are a bit heavy for older aircraft in the beta - this has still got to be tweaked, but in the meantime try to not operate oloder aircrafr (more than 10-15 years)

With 19 different aircraft types of course you'll be paying through the nose to train and maintain flights crews, mechanics, and inventory... :rolleyes: :P

As much as this improved in 3.1, I still am of the opinion that the cost for having a very untidy fleet is too low. In the real world, the airline with the biggest fleet is Delta with 744 aircrafts, of 8 different types (A320, A330, B737, B747, B757, B767, B777, DC-9).

However if you take a look at the biggest airlines in the two beta world for 3.1, they have 18 or 19 different types - essentially almost any type of aircract that's sort of current in the game year; This not only is unrealistic but also advantages a very messy approach to the game: ordering bulks of wathever is available on the market will give a player a big advantage over somebody that keeps it tidy. For example, ordering B737s, A320s, CRJ900s and TU204's all at the same time will grant you a constant flow of new airliners, as opposed to sticking with one type and waiting 2 weeks in between deliveries; There should be a much bigger drawback to operating too many types that there currently is, up to the point that it cripples the airline profitability and forces it to tidy the fleet up.

Just my 2 cents :D

Thanks everybody,

I working on my fleet. I want not more than 6 types.

I just looked at my maintenance and it was over 6 bilion in 1 year!

I`m also working at my fleet age problem. All planes older than 8 years are going out.

Once again thank you all. It really helped me. :thumbup:

I agree to the need for a more "realistic" approach to the "realistic" version. I.e. Russian AC in US pax service. I must also say that 5bil a year for Maintenance on 1 AC type with an avg fleet age of 8 years is a bit too high. Maybe for total annual cost. Posted Image

This isn't making sense. I have 40mil + DOP,over a bil in net profit last month and my cash is neg 1+bil. Where is this money going and why does it not show on financials? Never saw this issue in previous AE's.

my airline has suddenly gone from about #20 in the rankings to being 2 BILLION dollars in debt.
that means that suddenly i have lost about 60 BILLION at once
I have a lot of idle aircraft, but where did this come from? :fear:

i have to sell several of my planes to make the balance positive again.

oh and on the financial tab,i always make profit around 400-600mil per month,now its just strange that im suddenly on red :huh:

My airline has been on ranking 30 and now I`m one ranking 54. I`ve lost more than 20 bilion from the day I started loosing money. ( :furious: ) .

The oldest planes I now have is only 8 years. But thanks to the maintenance cost my airline is loosing 500 milion a mont, from almost 900 milion. I hope that I will be profitable next year.

(Don`t use Boeing 747-400 that are older than 6 years. My maintenance for my B747-400 fleet alone is almost 300 milion)!!!
