Would you like to see a game that lasts from the dawn of the airliner to the future of the industry? I personally think it'd be cool, but what's your opinion?

Yes... BUT its not possible at the moment - too many missing early aircraft and at the moment AE is set up for modern air travel...

And i presume you mean marathon rather than triathlon....

I would love this! But the logistics of this make it damn near impossible. But if it does happen, how will we sim World War II?

well i assume American aviation wasnt disrupted during ww2? unless of pilot shortages or something.. i know that during world war two there where still routes between Ireland and the UK

Maybe closing of all routes to the countries involved/effected by the advance of world war 2 (Germany, France, Russia, UK, America (international), Japan, China, Australia, Eastern Europe, Italy, Norway, Finland, Sweeden) i cant rememeber anymore

The post 9-11 slowdown of the industry isn't taken into effect...

That would be really tough to implement with population growth / demand increases & fluctuations & whatnot... Many cities in the game didn't even exist in 1920.
