I flew once on Independence, and will never go on them again. They were late by 2 hours, and then they had a 2 hour Taxi-out delay:mad:. With service like this, i am not suprised they are going down. I really hope that they go bankrupt. I wont miss them at all!

Reminds me a lot of ASA. I flew on them about a week ago (DL Connection of course). They took a delay, because the F/O was coming from another city and he was delayed there because of a weather problem. That wasn't a problem, it was normal and understandable. What was the problem is that the Captain wouldn't let anyone board until he had seen the F/O onboard first, hence, we were delayed a further hour because if he had pre-boarded everyone, right when the F/O walked on, they could have closed the door and we would have been off. We took an hour delay because when we were pushing back, that's when every other flight around us was leaving too, so we waited 15 min. there. We got suck in a long taxi line, which took 35 min. Then, as we lined up on the runway, the tower swithces runway sides, so we have to backtrack down the runway, which takes 10 min. before we are actually airborne. The ASA flight that was scheduled to leave 2 1/2 hours after our, but was going to the same destination, was already parked and unloaded when we landed in LAS. Isn't that sad!!!

I flew DL Connection with 'em when they were Atlantic Coast Airlines. We were stuck in Knoxville for four hours due to a groundstop up at CVG. We boarded that 328JET three times. LOL But the crew was wonderful, I must say. I haven't flown them since they went out on their own...

It's a shame, because I've heard a bunch of good things about them from others, but never got to fly them. OTOH, their dependence on the CRJs from the beginning was just bad business, and their way-low fares not only hurt themselves but the competition too.
