Qantas Airlines Clarafication

Qantas Link and Qantas Europe do not have the same management teams that Qantas Australia, NZ and Pacific have. It seems these wayward Qantas operators are bargaining around for good deals with other carriers.
"This is damaging on the Qantas brand and we need to make it clear that there is no way Qantas Link operations could co exist with Qantas Australia as Qantas Australia sees the outback regional operations as an important part of its business structure. It would be foolish to give all that up." - Aaron Winstanley, Qantas Group
"Qantas Europe had potential, but I agree our alliance with EuroJet (one of the largest operators in AE4 could be a problem. But it couldnt be ruled out. Im sure there are a vast number of routes Qantas Europe could take that EuroJet dont currently serve."
"We would be more than happy to RE welcome Qantas Europe to Qantas Group however its simply not possible to enter into an alliance with Qantas Link this far into AE4"
"South America is beginning to become an established area for Qantas Group operations. Sol Airlines has begun there and continues to expand. We still seek North American, African and Middle Eastern based operations"

The strange thing is everything is called Qantas which make no sense as you are a Pacific Link alliance partner. Qantas competes against Qantas, again no imagination.

Sorry everyone if this situation has confused you. But Pacific Blue had the better Alliance offer.

This is unbelievable! You have set up in NZ and the Pacific! Plus Asia and Europe. That is in direct competition to my own Group. There is nothing imaginative in your group decision. Its pure anti competitive.

I'm not going to take sides here, but this is an argument that has occurred before with airlines having the same or similar names. What I suggest you do is get over it. It's actuallly competitive, NZAviation, not anti-competitive.
Let's also not debate who is a "wayward operator".
I honestly think that JapanTitan had no knowledge of your airlines, or did not see an issue, when we was opening his company.

Thank you WTAWorld,Competitive we are not anticompetitive.
nzaviation Don't you remember telling JapanTitan this in you new look check in page so i don't see why you are complaining.
You are welcome to recommence and begin as a < Qantas xxxx > somewhere. And you would be welcome to Join Qantas Australia, Qantas New Zealand, Qantas Pacific and Alpha Airlines (based in Indonesia) in the Qantas Group alliance.
If you do not wish to establish an extension of the Qantas name you are welcome to simply join the group anyway. It will mean you will be protected by the might of the two main Qantas Group members. Qantas Australia and Alpha Airlines.
Thank you and happy flying.

JapanTitan did have knowledge of my operations and had at one stage requested to join my alliance.
He got a better deal with Pacific Blue then joined. Its the name that may confuse people.
Qantas flying against QantasLink.
Qantas Group and its airlines have been established longer than any other Qantas and Qantas Link was named as wayward because it has swapped its alliance partners and now seems strange in the present situation.
To Air New Zealand (not our alliance airline but the user) I meant that to say that a Qantas xxxx operation would be welcome anywhere in the world. Anyone logical would set up somewhere else other than a place where there is already a Qantas. I would have thought that was straight forward.

The Pacific Islands are a typical one. Its been done before with Polynesian Blue, Pacifica and now Qantas Link Islander or something similarly named. Everyone knows its not that big of a market with just one fiji based airline let alone two!
Wherever I am they will soon follow. Any move I make, they watch and then attempt to out do. Everything is cat and mouse and its limiting expansion.

I suppose that, in this case, I would move my operations to another world, or go bankrupt and relaunch under another name if another user's competition was difficult, or unusual.
I'm not saying that this makes sense, however, the USA has about 30 "US Airways" and "US Airways Express" in the different AE worlds, without incident.
I would also suggest that you converse on Private Chat or PM with your rival, before you involve the whole forum (and administrators) in this problem.

This deal could be HUGE. Lets just say the discussions would see the end of the name debacle.
More will come from this . . .

Qantas Australia is now persisting with its expansion into what it hasnt already begun in the outback regions of Australia.
