-OFFICIAL PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT_

AEA is proud to announce our receiving of our newest B737-700, the first of the 2nd batch of our 737s which includes 15 -600s, 23 -700s and 6 -800s, for trans-continental, Caribbean, Canadian, Mexican and "thin" trans-atlantic routes.
Right now, AEA has 80 737s in service.

AEA has also placed orders for new 757s, before Boeing's 757 production line closes. The 757s, which operate mostly transatlantic and Hawaii routes, are some of the most profitable planes in AEA's fleet, with 27 -200s and 17 -300s.

AEA is also retiring A330-300s, which have an average age of 3 years, in favor of brand new A330-200s as part of a fleet streamlining program.

AEA is happy to announce the opening of our newest hub, Philadelphia (PHL), with a 13-gate terminal.
ERJ-170s, CRJ-900s and 737s will operate domestic routes out of PHL. International routes will be flown as well, using 757 and A330s for transatlantics and intercontinental flights linking Philly to the world.

AEA's eighth hub has opened in Cleveland, OH (CLE), supplementing JFK, DCA, CLT, MKE, PHL, HNL and SLC. Like the other hubs, CLE will be an international hub, offering nonstop domestic flights (CRJ, 737, 757) and international flights to Europe, Mexico, Canada and the Caribbean. (737, 757, and eventually A330) There will be a few Asian routes but, for the most part, all Asian connections can be made via SLC or HNL.

AEA is also happy to announce the retirement of our last A330-300s, replaced by -200s, which have a longer range and are more economical.

AEA has also placed an order for 15 more CRJ-900s, one of our best types for regional flights, which will be based for the most part at our newest hubs, PHL and CLE. Plus, 10 more ERJ-140ERs will be ordered for these hubs.

AEA is proud to announce the receipt of our first CRJ-705, of which we are the launch customer with 25 orders. The 705 will operate "thin" domestic routes out of CLE where the demand is not high enough for an ERJ170 or CRJ-900.

AEA has also taken delivery of a gently used Boeing 777-200LR, AEA's first of the type, in a F12C26Y365 layout. The 25 orders we have for the -200LR will replace -200ERs on Pacific and Middle Eastern routes.

AEA is exploring opening another hub, our tenth. But we're not sure which airport to do it at, so give us your opinion in your reply. Here's the choices we're exploring:

-New York La Guardia (LGA)
-Chicago Midway (MDW)
-Boston (BOS)
-Baltimore (BWI)
-Louisville (SDF)
-Dallas Love (DAL)

If you have any other suggestions, please let us know!

AEA is also proud to announce "Elitejets", a completely new type of flying. For our business travelers, Boeing 737-800s will be configured to fly between JFK, DCA, LHR and MDW, in an F30C71 layout (no economy). Also, to increase the range of our Elitejets, we're considering introducing the 737-700(ER) to our business and first customers, for flights to Europe from JFK and DCA.

AEA is extremely proud to announce orders for 50 Airbus A380-800s, 25 with Engine Alliance GP7200 turbofans, and 25 with Rolls Royce Trent 900 turbofans. The A380s will enter onto high-capacity international routes, mostly from JFK, but it may expand to EWR, PHL, CLT, MKE and our other hubs.

AEA will also be ordering 10 Piaggio 180s, for routes to Cape Cod, Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard from our East Coast hubs. The 180s will also fly other lower-capacity routes around the US. The 180s have an average range of 1400 miles and an unamtched-by-turboprops speed of 395 mph.

Thanks!
AEA :)

-OFFICIAL PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT-

Current routes for the A380 are:
JFK-NRT 4x (4x A330 service supplements it)
JFK-LGW 7x (7x 757-200 service supplements it)
CLT-LGW 7x
JFK-MUC 7x
The current A380s are powered by Engine Alliance GP7200 turbofans: Rolls-Royce Trent 900 engine-mounted A380s will be arriving around 2009.

Also, orders for the Piaggio 180 were cancelled due to unprofitablilty of the first example upon delivery.

AEA is also looking at the helicopter market, particularly the AgustaWestland AW139, to provide service from Manhattan helipads to JFK, EWR, PHL and SWF.
