Mother Russia Airlines Press Release: Mar 19, 2000

Greetings,

Mother Russia Airlines is a Moscow based airline that began operations on Jan 1, 2000. Thanks to Y2K being nothing more than hype, our eccentric CEO, who wishes to remain anonymous at this time, had the good fortune of winning a bet from another Russian multi-millionaire, who figured the global financial system would collapse at the dawn of our new millenium. The payoff you ask? Said multi-millionaire's private Boeing 737-700 jet, $5 million dollars cash, and landing rights at Moscow-Sherematyevo Airport. Our CEO was quick to renovate the 5 year-old aircraft with passenger seats, winglets, and an in-flight entertainment system & put the funds toward creating a new airline: Mother Russia Airline.

In its short 2 and a half month existence, Mother Russia Airline managed to acquire another Boeing 737-700 aircraft & currently has orders for 6 more. Plans are in place for the airline to expand south & west to serve Mid-East & European markets.

Mother Russia Airlines is not setting out to become the world's biggest superpower like the name may suggest; rather, the airline wishes to serve you, the traveler, with a travel experience like none other. If your location or destination is Russia, fly Mother Russia Airlines. Mother knows best!

Mother Russia Airlines Closing Press Release:

Due to unforseen events, management at MRA had been absent for over a month & the airline has been subsequently closed due to a lack of management. We enjoyed our time in Sim8 & wish the remaining airlines best of luck, especially in the very competitive markets of Russia.
