I think we can all agree that the current "Estimated Delivery Date" of the aircraft queue's are very inaccurate. I often end up browsing through the entire queue looking for airlines ordering more than 2 aircraft etc etc. And it is nearly impossible to get a good overview about what's actually going on in the queues.

So what I'd suggest is the estimated delivery date would be calculated with account for the 10% boost and for airlines not being able to get more than 2 aircraft a month. An exact delivery date would still be impossible to achieve, because the delivery rate would vary depending on the queue length, but I think you could assume the queue length stays the same(which is often quite true) and base the calculations on that. These estimates would still be rough estimates, but they would be far more accurates than the so called estimates that are done now.

I don't think this will be too hard to implement, it's just about running the delivery algorithm over and over again, but virtually so no planes are actually delievered. (Okay the delivery script is bugged, but perhaps it could be rewritten now that we're at it? :o) And I don't think this more complicated estimates would put too much resource load on the servers, since the estimates will only need to be recalculated when someone orders new aircraft or defers an order, and could be stored in between.

And I know this might not be the most imminent problem, but this is the suggestions forums right? It is only a suggestion, but I think it's worth considering.

It would probably work at the cost of a lot of bandwith. But the idea works.

I don't see how this will take up more bandwidth than the current system. I mean, it's still about sending the same string "Estimated Delivery Date: x Months" to the client browser, right?
