Air Azur Press Release: Mar 11, 1985

Greetings,

We are proud to welcome you to France's newest airline: Air Azur! Our name comes from the Cote d'Azur, better known in English as the French Riviera, where our home base of Nice, France is located. Our goal is to create a comfortable airline & bring the world to our lovely region, not to mention connect the people of Southern France to other magnificent parts of the world.

We have opened a hub in Nice in order to facilitate our travellers to connect to other destinations, specifically our other holiday destinations along the Mediterranean Coast. This morning, our maiden flight from Nice departed to Cologne, Germany with 100% capacity & 100% customer satisfaction. Later today, it will bring customers back to lovely Nice, where the majority of our travellers will set up base camp for a vacation in the French Riviera, the nearby Alps, or perhaps lovely Monaco. Some of our passengers may opt for a connection to Marseille or Ajaccio on the island of Corsica. No matter where you go or why or why you go there, our goal is to treat our customers with the utmost hospitality & comfort during their voyage.

Our startup fleet consists of one ATR-42-300 turboprop plane, but we already have a Boeing 737-300 on order. Our startup destinations are listed below. We have several more planned for the near future. We look forward to seeing you fly with us!

List of destinations served from our hub at Nice:
Cologne, Germany (14x Weekly)
Aarhus, Denmark (6x Weekly)
Marseille, France (10x Weekly)
Ajaccio, France (5x Weekly)

Our fleet:
1 ATR-42-300

Air Azur Press Release: Feb 11, 1987

Greetings,
Air Azur has come a long way in the last two years. We have become the 22nd largest airline in the world based on total valuation & we are proud to serve a total of 109 destinations and counting worldwide. Only 11 airlines worldwide fly to more places than Air Azur.

While our growth has been far more accelerated than expected, we have never strayed from our initial goal, which was to provide top-notch service to our customers. Our growth has slowed to a more manageable pace and we are focusing on opening up new routes to where our customers want most to travel. Several of our newest routes connect the French Riviera to the Americas. Air Azur is now proud to serve a total of 14 destinations in North & South America with more planned within the next few months.

Air Azur is also please to announce that it has joined the Diamond Alliance. Diamond Alliance is the 4th largest airline alliance in the world in passengers carried, members, hubs, & total valuations. The combined destinations served by Diamond is a whopping 379 spanning all continents of the globe. Air Azur has connections with 4 of the other 7 members at Shanghai, Hong Kong, Atlanta, & Orlando.
