-What do the alliance do during the game?
Do they create a demand for a route, offer connection opportunities, drive traffic between hubs?
Thanks!

This should probably be unpinned, or updated, as the provided link is broken... And I still can't figure the exact benefit of an alliance (I usually build up route very fast, so the Alliance Network Bonus is 100% very quickly)
So here is the question again:
-What do the alliance do during the game?
Do they create a demand for a route, offer connection opportunities, drive traffic between hubs?
The only thing I've read is about connecting pax to fill up free seat on an alliance member plane. But not sure how it works. Explanation/example (or link to) would be really appreciated.
Is there any other benefit?
Thanks,

Ah, you're talking about the in-game alliances. This forum is for the forum alliances which ... I have no clue about. If you do have any info, please tell me. But, the alliances you're talking about are inside of the game, so this is technically the wrong forum. But, I'll give the answer.
Alliances serve two main purposes to my knowledge. First, if I'm correct, you can get connecting passengers on flights to your alliance members's hubs. These connecting passengers help fill up empty seats on your flight, which gives you more bang for your buck. Second, alliances will increase your reputation. If you look in the 'Airline Options' and at the reputation tab, you'll see a bar labeled 'Alliance Network Bonus'. This has 10% weight, and will increase your overall reputation the more destinations are in your alliance (600 destinations gives you the full 100% bonus).
Hope this helps!
