A few months ago I flew to Fort Lauderdale, one of the most relaxing cities in Florida. With virtually no turbulence on any of the flights our travel was basically uneventful.

RDU-ATL

Airline-Delta (Old Livery)
Aircraft-MD-88
Tail Number-N959DL
Description- Flight was short and our taxi to the runway was about 2 minutes. During approach our descent was a little to steep and we hit the runway hard and used about %60 reverser's. Captain was friendly and showed me the aging flight deck.

ATL-FLL
Airline-Delta (New Livery)
Aircraft-757-200
Tail Number-N673DL
Description-Flight was about 1 hour and 30 minutes, the approach into Fort Lauderdale was amazing as the routing took us right over the everglades. Smooth landing with about %80 percent reverser's. Captain was nice and showed me the flight deck, also flew the 727 and 737-200 before retirement. Currently he flies the 757/767/777.

FLL-ATL
Airline-Delta (Old Livery)
Aircraft-757-200 ETOPS
Tail Number-N650DL
Description- This aircraft was the highlight of my trip, as I waited at the gate I see a Delta 757 pull of the runway in the old livery, as Delta only had 13 of the 120 aircraft still painted in the old livery at the time it caught me by surprise. Another thing I noticed is the Winglets. Only 2 aircraft in Delta's fleet carry them and are still painted in the old livery, and are usually sent on Trans Atlantic routes. The aircraft also had AVOD personal TV's, which had live TV, in-flight games and a flight tracker complimentary. Movies were also available for purchase. Upon landing NO reverser's used (According to captain). The captain was nice and let me up front in the flight deck.

ATL-RDU
Airline-Delta (Old Livery)
Aircraft- MD-88
Tail Number-N913DL
Description-Final flight on my week long vacation...Well lets begin with the taxi line was long and treachorous...about 5 757's, 8 737's and several CRJs took the skies as we waited. Finally the all to familiar sound the the great JT8D engines rocketed the 20 year old MD-88. Our flight was uneventful until landing. As we neared the airport I sat thinking about the 4 hour drive home. We didn't touch down until we had about 7,500 feet of runway left (10,000 ft runway) and well passed the touchdown markers. During taxi the flight attendant asked passengers to close their blinds due to an APU failure and about how they wanted to keep the aircraft as cool as possible for the next passengers. Upon landing we used Max breaking and about %80 reverser. Captain was unfriendly and annoyed by my interest in our fiight.

Unfortunately I don't know the dates of my trip so next time I will be sure to wright them down. Please Comment.
