One thing I forgot to mention (and just remembered myself) is that you CAN rent gates while in debt in sim3, as the gate rental costs are so insignificant in comparison to the other transactions.

This is a good idea because if you have just bought shed loads of planes and are in substantial debt, you can immediatly start using those planes on routes!
