Problem:

Month change happend twice and May 1, Year 2 jumped straight to May 2, Year 2

Gate warnings issued then gate removal messages then sent.

Aircraft ordered for next month delivery have been delivered the same month.

Yeah mentioned that Fixed another bug that could lead into strange revenue calculation today, to be short: The new version didn't got executed fast enough, so the server killed the script and the time was set to the 30th

Now, the daily script will call the month-change script if the day is bigger then 24 - so on the next scheduled run, the monthly script was called again - this resulted into the mentioned problems (aircraft delivery, gate removal).

With the current dump of the real database I was able to reproduce the problem, due to increasing the maximum execution time and two optimizations (for example on month change the valuation of all players was recalculated twice which costs much time) this issue is now solved for the future.

But now the bad news: I would be able to un-deliver the additional delivered aircraft, yeah it would take some time, but with the gates there is a problem. The only inidication of gate removals exists in the users mailboxes (with a certain timestamp). But in this messges only the airport not the number of gates is mentioned, so I'm able only to give one gate back to players - sorry for that.

I didn't realize Glennos, you posted similar matter at the same time as I posted. lol

In my case:
At the beginning of this game month, there were some strange things happened:
1) we had April 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31 for ten minutes.
2) we skipped May 1.

As for 1), I was making a new route with my new aircraft on April 30 (the new aircrafts were delivered between April 25 and April 30), but I noticed the gates I leased prior to the month change were gone away. I received Gate Warning on April 25, so those gates were supposed be removed at the beginning of June if I do nothing on those gates.
Then, on May 1 (actually it was exsisting only for a few minutes), I got Gate Removal notification, and those unused gates had been removed from my account.


As for 2), the game skipped May 1. As I mentioned at the above, actually we had May 1 for a few minutes though...
The thing is we did not receive any benefits for May 1, I mean we did not get any profit for May 1.

Tobias, we understand and other players who will also cry, like I was before reading your explained view is that Sim2 is BETA and BUG fixing, you just go ahead and correct, adjust and improve the game format, then we can have a reset and all start again in we hope a much better game format.

BTW, rid the one-way, please find a system to improve that area, or my mass in HND / MAD will just grow, I am making more and more for every aircraft I place on it.:puzzled:

yeah - it could be the case that nobody got profits out of the 1st May due to strange side effects off the uncomplete month change before.

Thats bad - thats true, but the positive thing is: The bug I fixed before was another, bigger one. So in the last (real) months the revenues for days 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 were never payed out, which I corrected today. So due to the bug you (perhaps, didn't checked it) didn't get something for one day, but you get something for 6 days the first time. So dont worry about one day

As for the gates read Tobias post, NIL he can do, so please dont keep Tobias up all night adding in ONE by ONE for all players (Including Me) who are in the same boat.

While its all well and good that its Beta - its only to be expected, but I think its also understandable that people might just be slightly irked about losses incurred. Given that its fairly certain that most people have lost a fair amount of money though this, then perhaps a modest amount of cash for all players?

I will give all players with a removal on the double month change a gate back - if the database let me I have to do this on database level, some complex queries have to be done (extracting sub-strings, comparing this to other tables fields, hopefully there will no time outs/deadlocks).

Thats the only thing I can do without sitting hours here and hacking gates by hand back in

For the aircrafts I decided to do nothing: Some players could used them already for routes, it's to complicated to sort this out. Just be lucky to get airplanes earlier than scheduled - or get a drink if you (like me ) deep in the reds due to the things happened.

[Finally the gate thing was a success - completed it, so not all gates were recovered, but one per airport - thats better than nothing, isn't it? ]

In the end, its only the internet! Yea things can be frustrating and I was certainly a bit annoyed at first - but it is never ever worth getting red in the face about losing some virtual money!!
