ok we need to go to one system of measurement. right now we have speed in knots but range in staute miles.
i would like to see it go back to nm for range and knots for speed instead of staute miles and mph. aviation doesnt calculate in these and most real pilots uses NM so it can be a problem for people. it is a problem for me
if anything at least make it so you can between the two measurements
NM/Knots vs Miles/MPH

that is true which is why aviation uses nm/knots
also is the reason why you have to know english to be an atc/pilot because english is the universal aviation language

That has nothing to do with it. Aviation's usage of knots / nautical miles along with port and starboard is derived from shippings use of these terms.
I don't understand NM at all let alone miles so my vote to stay how it is. You hear quite often the term statute miles in aviation so it is used.
Anyway I would be quite happy to see it in km/h for speed (which is what the russians use) and kilometers for distance which I can relate to more.

In England they also have Miles for speed and distance. Canada and Mexico (that comment must be applying to North Americans). Don't know about the Aussi's. At the end of the day if they cant agree, the use mach for speed, like avg cruising speed of a 747 is .89 mach or something. In reality the A340 is slow moving high altitude a/c.
Either way its understandable to me. You tell me that the distance from point A to Point B is D and the range of the a/c is D im sure ill get it. To make things easier I think the speed should then me measured as D per/hour.

Why not just give the player the choice in wich system they want to use? For speed give them the choice of Knts/Mph/Kmph
