Welcome to the official topic for the Alliance Convention Week!

To begin with, i'd like to make a few points:

1. Thank you to Maestro for your input and participation on this idea.
2. Thank you to AE's forum staff for allowing us to have this here.
3. Thank you to the Air Alliance, and Airline Empires as a whole, for your input and support on this idea.

This topic basically has no boundaries outside the typical AE forum rules.

You may post links to your alliances, descriptions about them, your reviews of your own alliance, your questions to other alliances, etc.

People not in an alliance, you are of course still welcome to participate, if you are looking to join an alliance, this is a fantastic opportunity to find out which one is right for you!

I run IVY, the airline, on Sim1.

I am the Administrative Director of the Air Alliance.

Merged with the Air Alliance are the Skylink Alliance and the Empire Alliance.

We have seven staff, more than 25 members and one thousand posts, and are in the final phases of launching a magazine.

Anyone genuinely interested in being a member of the Air Alliance should go to our 'Applications' forum and lodge an application.

Trial memberships are available if you do not want to commit, however any application is still subject to the approval of alliance staff.

Well, hi everybody, I'd just like to add my opinion of the Air Alliance.

I think the Air Alliance is a great alliance in the making. All of the members I frequently speak to are very friendly, the community as a whole are all helpful and supportive (see Air alliance striking), and I'd recommend the alliance to any players wishing to find an alliance. I'm proud to be the priveliged positon of Air1 Director, and whenever someone asks me if I'm in an alliance, I'm proud to say Air. Keep up the good work guys!

The World Airline Alliance is the oldest and most succesful alliance in the history of Airline Empires. Currently, we have members from various regions around the world, with one common goal - striving to do your best with people that understand and can help you grow not only as a member, but as an airline.

We dont strive to get lots of members, what we stand for is quality. We want our members to understand that we have certain values we uphold and since most of our members are long-time players, we tend to be looked upon by others.

I, myself, had led this alliance for nearly 5 years and was one of the 3 founding members of the alliance.

If anyone has any questions or queries about the WAA, dont hesistate to PM via the forums or email me on my email address (or look at our thread in the alliance section and have a read of who we are... plenty of info there!!!).

We are always looking for good young raw talent that understand our values and principles and loves to have a fun time!

Sorry if I seem thick, but how do airline alliances work on Sim 2? I'm new to this and understand how they work in the real world, but not on here. I'd be delighted to code share if that works on sim2!

Well, there is no alliance feature per se currently in the game. The only way alliances work in AE is that you work with ur fellow members to select specific airports, so members dont overlap and focus on covering more area than just having members based on one continent. Also, members in alliances tend to sell aircraft cheaper to other members, to help them out.

Thats all for the moment, until a proper alliance feature is made where perhaps profit sharing is allowed on codeshared routes, reducing costs by interlining ticketing, etc...
