In its new name, "Silk" symbolises East Asia while Pacific represents the specific region the airline serves and the dream of flying across the Pacific Ocean.

Silk Pacific Airways today opened its first two destinations, Shanghai and Xiamen, which are two major cities in china.
With the frequency of 12 flights per day to Shanghai and 3 flights per day to Xiamen, the airline hopes to make Hong Kong as a gate to China, Asia and the world. It is expecting more desired routes and suitable aircraft for bringing passengers travelling between metros.

Silk Pacific Airways is sad to announce that two of our Beech 1900D fleet have vanished in Hong Kong International Airport during the preparation of boarding. Moreover, two other fleet member has been misappropriated due to error in aircraft selling system. Causing a lost of over $23M, the Beech 1900D fleet has been replaced by two Q400s with 74 seats, flying a total of 8 round-trip flights between Hong Kong and Shanghai Pudong.

18th daily flight to Shanghai Pudong launched
Silk Pacific Airways today launched its 18th daily flight to Shanghai Pudong. The airline brings about 1300 passengers per day, traveling from Hong Kong to Shanghai, which makes Hong Kong the best port for connection flights from South East Asia to North Asia.
As to boost the airline's North Asia service, it has launched 4 daily flights from Shanghai Pudong to Tokyo HND, extended the flying service from Hong Kong to Tokyo.

Silk Pacific Airways proudly present the new jet services on its new Boeing 737-800 and Airbus A321-100 aircraft. These aircraft with more and new seats, higher speed and high flexibility is now serving flights to Shanghai, Xiamen, Singapore, Osaka Kansai and Tokyo HND.

Silk Pacific Airways today announced its two biggest-ever orders for 18 B777-300s and 14 A380-800s directly from Boeing Company and Airbus Company. These two orders are valued approximately $9.3B in total, come as Silk Pacific Airways continues to expand its regional routes and long-haul routes from Asia to major cities of European, North America and Oceania.
