Welcome to the new news thread for Metroline Airways, who have currently jumped up out of nowhere and placed themselves back on the map for London's finest airlines.

Starting off with two Beechcraft B1900 aircraft, new routes to Amsterdam, Manchester, Edinburgh, Paris Orly and Burmingham have opened.

"This is a great day for Metroline, who have started again at the bottom and are working our way up to the top."

Well there is AltBus and AltRail on the UKTrainSim Forums, and a game called railmanager set up by some friends of mine.

TAKEOVER BID

Metroline Airways has been absorbed into the Velocity Transport Group. The airline will keep the name Metroline and all operations will stay the same, but by linking Velocity to Metroline, the group can interlink more services together and make the customers get where they need to.

This means that as soon as you get off a Metroline aircraft in Manchester Airport, you can board a NETI train into Piccadilly and then a Velocity Lancashire bus onwards to Burnley. All provided by the Velocity Group.

On a side note, Metroline Airways has recieved its first Bombardier Q400 aircraft which is being placed into service shortly.

More Q400s

As of now, Metroline Airways has placed its second order for a Bombardier Q400 aircraft, unfortunatly due to the backlog on the Bombardier order list this aircraft might not arrive for the next month change.
