In researching opening a one-way route with LAX-HKG with a 747-400ER, I recieved the following information:
LAX customers:1346.62
HKG customers:1165.56
Game capacity adjustment: %89
Total Daily Customers: 2,425
Total Capacity: 208
Customers Adjusted for Distance: 1,552
Initial Equilibrium Price: 1,722.14
Equilibrium Price Adjusted for Long Distance: 2,063
Average Ticket Price: 2,350.00
Stretch Variable Adjusted for Large Market: 1,683
Equilibrium Price After Average Ticket Price Deviation: 1,932.20
Final Equilibrium Price: 1,932.20
Stretch Variable Adjusted for Capacity: 2,131
Aircraft: Boeing 747-400ER
Initial Ticket Price for big2: 2,350.00
Ticket Price Adjusted for Monopoly: 1,645.00
Adjusted Price for Frequency: 1,809.50 | Frequencies: 1
% Increase in Adjusted Price Capacity: %6.7
Adjusted Price for Capacity: 1,930.76
Adjusted Price for Age: 1,930.76
O & D Load Factor: 80%
Hub Passengers: 13,208
Spoke Passengers: 1,166
Connecting Passengers: 1,571
Connecting Stretch: 1,399
Connecting Equi: 1,741
Unrestricted Connecting Load Factor: 19.6%
Adjusted Connecting Load Factor: 19.6%
Overall Load Factor: 100.0%
Maximum Distance of Routes out of Hub : 339
Average Distance of Routes out of Hub: 208
Connecting % of Ticket Price: 2,743%
O&D Revenues: 393,018
Connecting Revenues: 2,627,479
Total Revenues: 3,020,497
--------------------------------------------------------------
Load Factor - %100.00
Projected Revenue - $3,020,497
Projected Profit - $2,546,542
--------
But when I opened the route with those specifications, I only get a profit of $186,000. Something similar happens when I tried LAX-LHR. Has anyone else had this problem in the past (before the reset)?

Plane swap and a higher price is the only way to make the DOP rise, thoe I am against this swapping fuction Miller has it in there as he loves it so we all have to live with it.Yes, it has happened before. Try increasing your ticket price or switching aircraft and see what happens.
The swapping issue is what make the other players on a route lose out in DOP but thats life.

You will also notice that Miller's script will allow you to make that $8k price ticket more like $30K a ticket once you gain a few market % points and have it Hub and other flowing PAX.hahahaha that is weird. who would have imagined that raising the price up to $8000 per ticket was the way to go?
many thanks to both of you, PSA and travelhouse.
Not what I call the real world pricing plans but thats the Miller Pricing Plans

Who would buy a $130,000 airplane ticket if it wasn't the deposit on a private jet.
You could buy a house for that much!
