On the first of january Royal Atlantic was launched as an airline from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) and started services to Amsterdam Brussels and Manchester airports.
On just the first month Royal placed an order with Bombardier for 1 Q400 aircraft to expand its operations and an option for 19 others.
The first Q400 is due next month and will start operations straight away, the future of 1 of the Beech 1900D aircraft is yet to be decided but there are rumours it will give way to the second Q400 very soon.

Royal has received the second Bombardier Q400 and it started service on the 4th day of this month, however yesterday evening Royal signed a contract for 2 ATR-45-500 aircrafts with 3 on option to replace the 2 Beech 1900Ds. The ATR's will start seeing service as early as next month mainly on UK flights and short existing European routes. The remaining Beech will leave the fleet next month after ATR's take over the flights while one has already gone.

Fleet:
2x Q400 (18 on option)
1x B1900D (leaving)
2x ATR-45 (to be delivered, 3 on option)

Royal is now one of the most recognised airlines based at London Heathrow now with an all new fleet of under 5 months old bringing confort and exelent service to our customers rather than going for the number one spot or biggest fleet of London. The fleet has been expanding very well over the last 2/3 months, the second Q400 in the fleet integrated very well and the 2 ATR-45-500s entered service the day after they got delivered replacing the B1900Ds on short European flights and UK flights. Since then Royal has received the third Q400 which is in service expanding european and a UK flight and 2 further options were changed to orders.
Fleet:
3x Q400 (+2 to be delivered, 15 on option)
2x ATR-45-500 (3 on option)

The ceo of Royal Atlantic was busy this week in early stages of negotiations with Airbus Boeing and Embraer for future jet orders however it was stated during a press release that there might be a small order coming first to satisfy quick needs. The ceo stated "there could be an order for up to 3 jets from either manufacturer before the end of the year". There is a rumour that Royal might also sign for a large option list and that there could even be a double manufacture order.
In the mean time Royal is expecting delivery of at least 1 Bombardier Q400 at the start of the month which would be the 4th in the fleet with the 5th coming straight after.

Royal has received another 4 Q400s to the fleet since the last post, this brings the total to 9. The airline also bought a Saab 2000 from an alliance member and only because of its exelent condition being nearly new to expand quicker.
The big news however is Royal has ended talks with Airbus Boeing and Embraer for jet aircraft and just a few hours ago the ceo placed an order with Airbus for 2 A319s with 5 on option however these options are more likely to increase while the 3 options for 3 ATR-42s were droped.

Fleet:
9x Q400 (1 to be delivered, 10 on option)
2x ATR-42 (to be replaced by 2 Q400s in the future)
1x Saab 2000 (to be replaced by a Q400 in the future)
2x Airbus A319 (both to be delivered next month, 5 options)

In the last months Royal has made significant changes but not so much for the present but for the future. Due to high amounts of competition a few things have changed such as fleet comonality but most important of all Royal has constructed a 30 gate terminal at London Heathrow to secure its existence and to carry on fighting for the top spot as the ceo stated "Royal has made improvements which might not be seen in numbers just yet but I hope our competitors at London Heathrow don't count us out"
The fleet has seen a few changes such as the replacement of both ATR-42s and the only Saab in the fleet to 3 new Q400s which brought the numbers to 12 plus another delivery to expand, Royal converted the other 7 options to fulfill the 20 frame commitment. Royal has ordered a followup order of 1 extra Q400 and 9 further options.
Royal also received the first 3 A319s with 4 still on option which will be converted in the next 2 months.

Fleet:
13x Q400s (8 to be delivered, 9 options)
3x A319s (4 options)

Royal Atlantic earlier today converted all options remaining for the Q400s and now have 15 frames to be delivered to join the already fleet of 15 Q400s. With this Royal will become one of the biggest airlines operating the Q400.
